Our Mission
Engineers & Scientists of Cincinnati (more prominently known as ESC) is a organization that serves the greater Cincinnati area in Ohio, Kentucky and Indiana. We are an organization of kindred spirits that are here to serve the professional and technical needs of our local engineering and scientific community. And serve as agents in a wide variety of activities designed to enhance the technical and scientific fields.
Principal Activities
ESC's principal activities include: liaison for technical issues with industry and government; spokesperson for community at large on scientific and technical issues; career development programs, such as science fairs for schools to strengthen the future of engineering and science professions; and, participation and sponsorhip of recognition programs for the public and peers.
Programs We Support
ESC is involved in several programs. We conduct an Annual Awards Banquet to recognize the contributions of individuals in the engineering and scientific community. We support Science Fairs held at Miami University and Northern Kentucky University in a effort to stimulate interest in our profession amoung school children. We support the Greater Cincinnati community through membership participation in various Task Force and Committees. Lastly, we recently undertook a Speakers Bureau that will provide presenters for school career days, the development of this Web Site to help support our membership, and sponsorship of Debates to help insure public awareness about key technical issues facing the communities we live in.
Policies
ESC is a group governed by its Officers and Board of Directors. Our Constitution and By-Laws provide the framework from which we operate.
